1880 Train employee orientation is Saturday, and, as the train’s new blogger, I am excited to attend so I can . . . well, learn about trains! I started out my first blog telling you that I was new to trains and invited you on my journey.
But one thing I’m not new to are mothers who just want the facts so they can move on to the next thing. In honor of busy mothers everywhere, here are “just the facts” about the Mother’s Day Express so you can get your mother away from work (of all kinds) and just enjoy a day with you!
To start off the season, the 1880 Train will host its fourth annual Mother’s Day Express on May 12, 2013, departing at 1:15 pm from Hill City to Keystone and back. It’s not your typical Mother’s Day activity though. For $40, guests will be treated with a Piece of Cake cupcake, chocolate-covered pretzels, fruit and cheese skewers, champagne and entertainment by Brent Morris of Hill City. A designated driver option is also available for $35 and kids (ages 3 to 20) ride for $24 each. Children, ages two and under, ride free. Tickets can be ordered online at www.1880train.com or by calling 605-574-2222.
Written by Debbie Ketel, the new 1880 Train blogger. By night, on weekends and between kids’ events, I convey the vision of the 1880 Train to YOU. (I’m also learning about trains.) Join the blog and take part in my journey!
